Dr. San Bui

Dr. San Bui is licensed to practice in the Province of Ontario and the State of Michigan. Dr. Bui graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry from the University of Western Ontario in 1993.
He obtained his Doctor of Chiropractic Degree with Honours at Life University in Marietta Georgia, and his Physiotherapy Certification at Breanau University in Atlanta Georgia.
Dr. Bui is the Founder and President of Pain Rehabilitation Clinic Inc., and Dr. Bui has extensive knowledge pertaining to the American Medical Association 4th addition of Disability rating. In fact, Dr. Bui has treated over 20,000 patients with personal injuries since 1995.
He has an extensive and comprehensive team of specialists working together with Pain Rehabilitation Clinics to provide extraordinary service and patient care to all patients. His work is predominantly advocating for patients’ rights with disability claims for injuries ranging from motor vehicle accidents, slip and fall accidents & work related accidents. Dr. Bui and his team of specialists play a pivotal role in contributing to the care of each patient, as well as the success of the patient's individual personal injury claims.
Dr. Bui is a supportive and compassionate clinician, he is active, and he is involved in all aspects of each patient's file from beginning to end. Dr. Bui has a successful track record in advocating patients as an expert witness, and he is relentless when testifying in multiple arbitration proceedings on behalf of his patients' rights.
Dr. Luke Bui

Dr. Bui completed his medical degree at the University of Toronto, and residency in General Surgery at McMaster University, Hamilton. He is currently on staff at Mackenzie Richmond Hill Hospital, and sits on various hospital committees.
Dr. Bui is the current President of the Medical Staff Association and sits on the Board of Directors at Mackenzie Richmond Hill Hospital. As a Minimally Invasive Surgeon, he has interests in stomach & colorectal cancer, laparoscopic anti-reflux procedures, and the medical & surgical management of obesity. He has published research papers in Canadian Family Physician, HPB Surgery, and The Journal of Surgical Oncology. As Assistant Clinical Professor in the Faculty of Health Sciences at McMaster University, Dr. Bui is actively involved in training future physicians and surgeons.
Dr. Bui is a member of the Ontario Medical Association, Canadian Medical Association, Canadian Association of General Surgeons, Ontario Association of General Surgeons, Society of Surgical Oncology, Canadian Association of Bariatric Physicians & Surgeons. Dr. Bui is the proud co-founder of Thornhill Endoscopy Centre - A State-Of-The-Art Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and Anorectal Surgery Clinic. 1995.
Dr. Esther Bui

Esther is a Staff Neurologist – Clinician Teacher at Toronto Western Hospital and a Lecturer at the University of Toronto.
She is an active member of the Epilepsy Surgery program at the Krembil Neuroscience Centre. She obtained her Bachelor’s in Biochemistry at MacMaster University in 1998. She completed her M.D. in 2002 and Neurology residency in 2007, both from the University of Toronto. In 2010, she completed her fellowship in Epilepsy and Encephalography at the Krembil neuroscience Centre, University of Toronto.
She is a member of Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and is a certified member of the Canadian Society of Clinical Neurophysiology(CSCN) and serves in the executive board of the CSCN. Her clinical & research interests lie in advancing the care of epilepsy, particular in your adults and woman of childbearing age. She has a special interest in the management of women with epilepsy and epilepsy in pregnancy. Her clinical practice is extended to include post-stroke and post-traumatic epilepsy and brain tumour related epilepsy. She has a personal interest in epilepsy advocacy and strongly emphasizes patient-centred care in her practice.
As a clinician teacher, Esther is involved in teaching a wide spectrum of learners including undergraduate medical students, clinical clerks, residents and fellows. Her interest in teaching extends to curriculum development and creating novel tools using technology to teach epilepsy and electroencephalography. She is dedicated to the advancement of the epilepsy program at UofT through initiatives such as inter-institutional collaborations and the development of city-wide EEG rounds.
Mark Bui

Mark graduated from a Bachelor of Science (honour) in Human Biology at University of Toronto in 1996.
He graduated from the 5 years Dr.TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) program at Beijing Capital Medical University-Canada in 2009, with special interests in acupuncture and TCM for pain management.
Mark has worked with a multidisciplinary team of rehabilitation specialists and therapists since 2003 to help many patients find pain relief and recovery. His work in patient care has be recognized by industry awards.
Dr. Maria Bismonte

Dr. Maria Bismonte is a registered Psychiatrist with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario. Dr. Bismonte began her postgraduate psychiatry residency training at the University of Toronto in 1990, and completed in 1997.
Dr Maria Bismonte is a dedicated psychiatrist with experience in public and private inpatient and outpatient settings.
Dr Bismonte was also a consultant for a psychiatric rehabilitation inpatient unit for many years, helping people with severe and long-lasting mental health problems.

Dr. Melody Nguyen

Dr. Melody Nguyen completed her Doctorate of Medicine (M.D.) and residency in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) at the University of Toronto. Dr. Nguyen is a Fellow with the Royal College of Physicians of Canada (FRCPC), and an appointed Physiatrist within the Division of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, Department of Medicine, Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre.
Dr. Nguyen specializes in musculoskeletal conditions, spasticity and chronic pain.
Physiatry is the branch of medicine dealing with the evaluation and treatment of patients whose functional abilities have been impaired. The impairments and disabilities may result from injuries or diseases such as arthritis, musculoskeletal disorders, stroke, neuromuscular disorders, peripheral vascular disease, cerebral palsy and others.
Physiatry is unique among medical fields in that its area of expertise addresses the function of the whole patient. Suffering an acute injury or living with chronic illness can affect a person's functional capabilities. Physiatry is about patient-centred care and promotes maximizing functional capabilities to returning patients to their activities and participation in society.
Dr. Hein Ta

Dr. Ta is a medical practitioner duly licensed to practice unrestricted in the province of Ontario. He is currently certified with the Royal College of Physicians of Canada, as well as with the College of Family Physicians of Canada. Dr. Ta is a practicing anesthesiologist and former Chief of the Department of Anesthesiology at a local hospital in Richmond Hill, Ontario. Furthermore, Dr. Ta is also a pain consultant at a chronic pain centre in North York, Ontario, and has been an active practitioner within pain medicine since 2009.
Dr. Ta’s specialization is within chronic pain medicine - he has been assessed by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario for a medical practice focused on chronic pain management, with a scope of practice approved to include chronic pain management utilizing interventional procedures.
Dr. Ta obtained his Doctor of Medicine from Dalhousie University in 1991 and subsequently completed family medicine residency training at McMaster University in 1993. Following residency, he was engaged in an active family practice including Obstetrics, in-hospital patient care and Coroner work for the Department of Community Safety and Correctional Services of Ontario.
In 1999, Dr. Ta returned to specialized training and completed his Anesthesia Residency in 2003 at the University of Toronto. He obtained an Obstetrics Anesthesia Fellowship from Mt. Sinai hospital in Toronto. Dr. Ta possesses a professional membership with the Canadian Medical Association, the Ontario Medical Association and is a member of the chronic pain section of the OMA, the College of Family Physicians of Canada, the Royal College of Physicians of Canada and the Canadian Society of Medical Evaluators.
He is also an assessor for the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario in anesthesiology and in chronic pain.
Fay Gershgorin

Fay Gershgorin, OT Reg. (Ont.) is a registered Occupational Therapist with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario and the National Association of Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) qualified to practice in Ontario and USA. Fay is a member of The Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT). She has attained her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy at Barry University in Miami, Florida and a Master’s of Business Administration from Nova Southeastern University.
Fay first practiced within within the clinical settings, amassing experiences in orthopedic, neurology, and mental health via administering assessments and treatments accordingly. She has treated children and adults in the community and school settings.
Fay is currently focused on assessing and treating primarily individuals who have sustained functional deficits of catastrophic/noncatastrophic nature from MVA-related traumatic brain injury, personal injury cases, Orthopaedic and/or Psychosocial injuries; to address their day-to-day needs and facilitate functional improvement through client-centered Occupational Therapy, community based rehabilitation and advocacy.
Fay also provides Occupational Therapy consultations to corporations addressing workplace mental health & wellness programs to support employees' mental health, improve performance, productivity and morale, & reduce absenteeism.
Fay is passionate about assisting clients with reaching their potential to live meaningful lives, and has always enjoyed working with individuals of various ages & abilities. Fay enjoys working in the community setting and always strives to help others achieve their goals for functional independence.
In her spare time, Fay enjoys cooking, practicing yoga, pilates, outdoor activities, travelling and spending time with friends & family. Fay has always been an active volunteer in her community, dedicating free time to a number of programs and organizations.
